Baltania has successfully produced the first batch of Perpetual Carbon

May 20, 2021

Baltania reached a new milestone today. The High Temperature Torrefaction line at the new plant in Estonia has successfully produced the first batch of Perpetual Carbon. Perpetual Carbon is a sustainable, renewable, one-to-one substitute for fossil coal. The HTT reactor has passed this first test without any problems.

Martijn Dekker, CTO of Perpetual Next, is delighted: "This is better than we could have hoped for the very first on-site test. Partly because some team members had to operate remotely due to the COVID-19 restrictions.”

Perpetual Next congratulates the Baltania, Comtherm and Hekotek teams on the successful test. On to the next milestones!
