Perpetual Next Conversions and EnergoVizija sign Letter of Intent (LOI) for the development of renewable assets in Croatia

Perpetual Next Conversions and EnergoVizija sign Letter of Intent (LOI) for the development of renewable assets in Croatia by converting organic waste into valuable products such as bio methane and bio-LNG.

The signing of this LOI is a significant step towards sustainable waste management and energy solutions in Croatia. Both parties are committed to identify and develop projects together resulting in renewable energy plants that contribute to handle waste in a more sustainable way and reduce the usage of fossil energy. These are necessary steps towards reaching European climate goals and building a greener future.

With its build, own, operate strategy Perpetual Next Conversions is specialized in developing and operating production facilities in which regional low value organic residual materials are converted into renewable products. Besides significant investments into the Croatian market, Perpetual Next will also contribute with its deep industry knowledge about waste pre-treatment, conversion technologies (e.g. anaerobic digestion) and upgrading facilities (biomethane, liquid CO2 and bio-LNG) to each Project.

The Zagreb based EnergoVizija is a leading Croatian company, operational since 2009, for development and implementation of Renewable Energy projects and will play an important role in the operational part of the business of the joint projects, including waste management and attracting/interacting with waste collectors locally.

Rene Buwalda, CEO Perpetual Next Conversions, “This LOI represents a commitment from both parties to help Croatia make the transition to renewable energy. By collaborating with EnergoVizija we have found the perfect  partner. Not only do we both have extensive experience in using advanced technologies for creating renewable energy, but we also share the same vision and commitment for creating a greener and more sustainable future”.

Ivan Simic, CTO EnergoVizija, ‘’In the coming months we will further formalize the planned developments and acquisition targets and intensify our conversations with local governments about sustainable waste management and the implementation of biomethane and biogas in the Croatian system. The collaboration in which we will engage with Perpetual Next will contribute seriously to the country’s sustainability goals".

This LOI is a result of a trade mission organized by the Dutch embassy and the Renewable Energy Sources Croatia last September with the aim of connecting companies and government agencies from both countries, mainly in the field of solar and bioenergy. Croatia has the ambition to close their landfills which automatically means recycling and upgrading of waste becomes a necessity.
