The mission of Perpetual Next

The world is in the early stages of a decades-long transformation from fossil resources to renewables. Perpetual Next aims to solve the problems associated with the use of fossil fuels. We will invest in various forms of sustainable and renewable energy based on a circular approach. On the one hand through recycling and reusing raw materials and products, on the other by replacing fossil with non-fossil resources.

Together we fight the challenges the world faces: depletion of the earth’s resources, climate change, culture of waste and slow deployment of broad acceptable alternatives. We have committed to an evolving cause, always exploring the next solution of renewables.

We are investing in three segments:

We identify undervalued organic residual streams to convert these resources into their highest potential products. Such as forest and crop residues, food waste and digestate manures. From these residual streams we produce energy, biocoal or (semi-finished) products for markets and industries.

We invest in best-in-class technology for converting undervalued organic residuals into high-value products. The focus is on processes with highest productivity, lowest cost and superior speed and performance. Our current focus includes a successful thermochemical treatment process based on torrefaction, which converts a wide variety of raw organic waste streams into a homogeneous and high value source of carbon.

We work towards making the energy supply more sustainable based on a circular approach. We invest in technologies that produce cleaner energy, such as optimally converting wood waste produced by necessary forest maintenance into heat. We are committed to reducing waste by investing in power stations that offer a sustainable alternative for fossil fuels.
