Perpetual Next Engages GLS to Support U.S. Biomethanol Development Strategy

Amsterdam, Netherlands – April 20th, 2026 — Perpetual Next has engaged Global Location Strategies (GLS) to support the next phase of its U.S. development strategy for biomethanol and torrefaction projects.

Under the agreed scope, GLS will assess candidate locations and prepare a final site selection report covering technical, commercial, permitting, infrastructure, logistics, utility and stakeholder considerations. The work is intended to support Perpetual Next’s decision-making as it advances its U.S. platform and identifies the most suitable locations for further development.

The assignment includes a comparative assessment of already identified sites, together with our selected site in Georgia, alongside a wider feedstock market survey and site assessment across the southern states. The scope also considers multiple development concepts, including stand-alone torrefaction facilities, stand-alone biomethanol facilities, and integrated torrefaction and biomethanol facilities, depending on site-specific advantages and constraints.

Perpetual Next sees the GLS engagement as an important step in sharpening its U.S. growth pathway and creating a disciplined basis for project prioritisation in 2026.

Anthony Mayle, Head of Business Development at Perpetual Next, said:

“Engaging GLS is an important step in turning our U.S. ambition into a structured development pathway. Their work will help us compare locations on a consistent basis, understand the opportunities and constraints of each option, and support our plan to move forward with three developments in the USA in 2026. For us, this is about selecting the right projects in the right locations, with the right combination of feedstock access, infrastructure, utilities and industrial integration.”

Nicholette Ross, Managing Consultant at GLS, said:

“We are pleased to support Perpetual Next on this important stage of its U.S. development strategy. Our role is to bring a rigorous, evidence-based assessment of candidate locations and development concepts, helping the team identify the sites best positioned for successful advancement. With multiple potential locations and several viable project configurations under consideration, a clear and comparative process is essential to support confident decision-making.”

The GLS scope is designed to produce a clear, evidence-based recommendation of the preferred sites for further development, together with the rationale for selection, principal risks, mitigation measures and the additional actions required to support the next phase.

Perpetual Next is developing projects that convert biogenic residues into low-carbon products and sees the United States as an important market for future growth, given its feedstock availability, industrial infrastructure and potential for scalable project deployment.
