Baltania reached a new milestone today. The High Temperature Torrefaction line at the new plant in Estonia has successfully produced the first batch of Perpetual Carbon. The reactor has passed this first test without any problems.

Drying plant Primco Duiven and The Green Solution have signed a heat supply agreement. With the hot water produced by Primco, The Green Solution supplies among others weed fighters. Weed control with hot water is by far the most environmentally friendly and effective solution at this moment.

Despite closed borders, the construction of the Baltania torrefaction plant in Estonia continues in coronation time. The reactor and pellitiser building have been given a roof and the floor in the production hall has been poured.

In December, Primco took over the bio-energy power plant in Duiven, Gelderland, in a joint venture with three shareholders. The plant (15MW) has as main objective the drying of potato and carrot steam peelings and other residual flows from the food industry. Primco owns 75% of the joint venture. The plant will be operational in July this year.
